Our Wedding
We married on the 16th of August 1997 in the
quadrangle of Sydney University - an incredibly sunny and hot
day for the middle of winter. Our select group of 43 guests (click
here to see them all - 365KB) came from
all over Australia, as well as from New Zealand, USA, Canada,
and of course England and Scotland. My best friend Hugh left
girlfriend (now wife) Celine in England for a week to perform
best man duties, whilst Serena's sister Jacqui was bridesmaid.
A kilted piper made my Scottish relations feel at home. A sumptuos
feast of a dinner followed at the Australia Club on Macquarie
Street, before we retired to our suite at the Sheraton on the
Park and prepared for our backpacking honeymoon in Fiji.
